Ragland
"Modern American Female Gut " (Self-Released) Monticello singer/songwriter Robynn Ragland has made quite a name for herself in the musical community of Champaign-Urbana. The musician has put out a first full length CD that speaks volumes with her exquisite talent. With the heaviness of the first track "Any Thoughts on This?" to the eloquent ballad of "Trying To Fly" and the bluesy "Something Real For You" it is clear Ragland is schooled in a wide field of music and pulls them off on every cut of this disc. Ragland was No. 1 regionally on Amazon.com and has toured extensively to prefect an already accomplished sound. It is nice to see an instrumentalist write her own lyrics and play a multitude of instruments on a CD. With catchy hooks and an endearing voice, Ragland has recorded eleven songs that convey a talent that is explosive. She sings with flair dominant power, yet a demure voice that captures your ear while her sexy good looks catch you eye. ~ Troy Michael |
